The Golgotha Series 4

*The Golgotha Series*  *Events of the cross* A Roman guard pierced his side with a spear. But before the nails and the spear,Jesus was whipped and beaten.  *POINTS TO PONDER* The whipping was so severe that it tore the flesh from his body. The beating so horrific that His face was torn and his beard ripped from His face. The crown and thorns cut deeply into his scalp. Most men would not have survived this torture. Yet he still carried His cross kilometers away to the place where he was crucified. Despite all this, He stayed true to his calling, gallant in His mandate and unwavering to the vision. Why? Just to get us saved from sin and death. If I should ask, can you even endure a slap from the military for something you didn't do? For people who even hate you? Will you agrees to be tortured by the armed forces for what you know is not your business? Lord please forgive our short comings and stabilize us in you. Amen! Jesus loves you; can't you see?  *John 15:13...
*Relationship Series*  *21 Laws of Relationship by Tekena Ikoko*  *4. He that will have friends must show himself friendly.* She wants to get married and she is waiting to be found. However, she is unapproachable, unfriendly, and never smiles. It will take a bulldozer to move her, and few guys have the guts to steer one. He defines manhood by a stern face and his macho-body stuffed in a stiff suit. His arrogance announces his presence and he is lacking in social graces. Will the lady who agrees to marry him be marrying a monster? Well, I wonder who will take up this herculean task except she feels that she has no other choice! What does it mean to be friendly? It means that you are open and genuinely interested in other people. A neutral body language and a smiling face projects friendliness. Ladies pay attention: not all friendly guys are looking for sex. Guys pay attention: not all caring ladies are desperate for your money and ring. We should learn to celebrate our ...

*SUCCESS DAILY*  *6th September 2018*  _By Joshua N. Nicholas_  *THURSDAY TRUTH*  *YOU DON'T HAVE AN EXCUSE* Cosmos Maduka, the CEO of Coscharis Group of Companies, lost his father at the tender age of four. His mother, whose income from her bean cake (akara) business couldn't fund their education needs, raised him and his three siblings. Cosmos dropped out of school at the age of eight and went to serve his uncle who traded in car spare parts. This exposed him to street life where he took to smoking, alcohol, and pornography, before surrendering totally to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. After seven years of labour, his uncle let him go with two hundred naira alone. He teamed up with his brother to start a business, which collapsed. *THE NIGERIA I SEE*  *6th September 2018*  _By Joshua N. Nicholas_  *BEYOND THE CRISIS* Homes have been isolated, jobs are blue moon,  businesses shuttered, our health care has no attendant, and our very few institutions endeavour to pass no many. Corruption is trespassing and the state of our energy always keeps us baffled and amazed. These are unusual signs of decay that is sapping our faith and blowing a nagging fear of decline through our environ. However, I put all these seemingly possibilities of crisis as a challenge to us all; to work them off with hope, unity and purpose. We are young but its our time we are making history to express the impression of the noble idea our forbearers passed on. In every angle, there is needed change; not only the economy but also the individuals, everywhere needs action swiftly. A foundation based on solidarity and equity will chase out uncertainty and dubiety. Nigeria is the most populated black nation, the most bles...

The Nigeria I See 5th September 2018

*THE NIGERIA I SEE*  *5th September 2018*  _By Joshua N. Nicholas_  *THERE IS NOTHING THERE* Good morning Nigerians! On the issue of us dumping our nation to developed ones, there are no better chances out there than in here, you can only help them develop the more with doing the "no collar jobs" which makes your God given pedigree stoop so low for peanuts. You cannot be like them, but you can only work for them. They will remove the active black brains you have to only remain "lack" brains and scooped coconuts. Before we sink out there, let us come back to the great Nigeria and think in here with mind blowing resources that will show for results. We can make Nigeria an enviable nation; a place where all and sundry will be eager to visit, live and stay. America was not created by God; it was made by people like me and you. They were focused. They were determined and they were willing; and today they are so proud of their nation. They owe you no apology when th...

*SUCCESS DAILY*  *5th September 2018*  _By Joshua N. Nicholas_  *WEDNESDAY WALL*  *LESSONS FROM THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE* Many years ago, a Swedish newspaper mistakenly published the obituary of a renowned Swedish Chemist and scientist Mr. Alfred Nobel, rather than that of his brother who actually died. In that error, the newspaper placed the picture of Mr. Alfred Nobel and under it wrote that his death was fantastic because he had invented the "Dynamite";  a substance that had caused much death, pain and suffering to mankind. So, after reading his obituary, Alfred was devastated! He wished he was not born; yet he thanked God that he will be able to re-write his history before dying. He wrote the newspaper editor, apologized for inventing the dynamite and went to set up a foundation for an award we know today as the "NOBEL PEACE PRIZE". you too can rewrite your story. It doesn't matter what the past has brought out for you. It doesn't matter what they...

THE NIGERIA I SEE

*THE NIGERIA I SEE*  *3rd September 2018*  _By Joshua N. Nicholas_  *NIGERIA CAN STILL MAKE PROGRESS* Good morning Nigerians! Greetings to everyone. Hope we all had a fantastic weekend? I am privileged to write this article due to the opportunity bestowed on me; I thank God for this platform. Let us pledge allegiance to our motherland. Let's not involve in unlawful activities, we are good people of Nigeria. Let us see peace as a negotiation of love. The green-white-green apparel will continue to fly high with international respect commanded by it in great occasions. Although we were borne into the hands of colonialism but thankGod in his grace we grew in great nationalism with growing respect to true democracy. In this world we surely know that there shall be a grand jury on the day of reckoning which no one can maneuver. If everyone in Nigeria can be a paradigm plus an added value of transparency then no one will belabour on devaluation. It is the right time f...

SUCCESS DAILY 3rd September 2018

*SUCCESS DAILY* *3rd September 2018*  _By Joshua N.Nicholas_  *MONDAY MOTIVATION* *THE WRONG JOB* I read a shocking statistics in a journal sometime ago, that 80% of heart attack cases happen on Monday mornings. Most people get up on Monday morning and do not feel excited and enthusiastic about going to work, irrespective of how good and lucrative that occupation may be. This, more often than not, point out to the fact that such persons are out of God's purpose; they are not in their place of assignment. It shows that what you are doing is not the reason for which you are created. A job is what you do to satisfy your basic needs (food, clothing and shelter) while work is what you do that brings you fulfillment. When it comes to work, the money is irrelevant; you are just too happy to even think about the cash, it comes secondary. When you are not in God's purpose you will never be excited doing anything that you are engaged in. When you meet a lawyer that is in God...

THE NIGERIA I SEE 2nd September 20187

*THE NIGERIA I SEE* 2nd September 2018 *THE CALL OF A NIGERIAN GRADUATE PT 2* The call of a Nigerian graduate begins from here with younger family relatives looking 'up to', old family members looking 'unto', your classmates looking 'into' and you looking where to run to. With the growing trend of unemployment in the market, the world needs you to create jobs raising more employers to employees thereby stabilizing the nation's economy. The Nigerian Graduate is a mother that just delivered her certificates. Your undergraduate days are your months of pregnancy. Every pregnant mother should be ready for delivery as nine months is pretty enough to give a tenant in an apartment a quit notice. In the next 10 years, 20 years what will differ you from the others is your assignment and the problems you have been able to solve for mankind. In the next couple of months you will be refined and finished products of not just the university but God's community. ...

SUCCESS DAILY 2nd September 2018

*SUCCESS DAILY* 2nd September 2018  _By Joshua N. Nicholas_  *SUNDAY SUN*  *UNTIL PURPOSE IS DISCOVERED* Until purpose is discovered, existence has no meaning. Purpose is the source of fulfillment in life. Career success does not mean purpose fulfillment. You can be an icon in a particular career and still be unfulfilled. Purpose is about what you find to do without being cajoled: doing it with utmost passion and enthusiasm; with maximum fulfillment derived. A business man or woman that is at the center of God's purpose for his or her life will not wait to be told about the newest platform on which to thrive and go forward in his or her line of business. When you are on God's purpose you cannot be killed. Jesus was in a boat crossing the sea when suddenly water began to enter the boat; sensing they were in jeopardy, the disciples woke him up to respond. He did not panic; rather he rebuked the storm and commanded it to be calm. Jesus knew that it was impossible fo...

THE NIGERIA I SEE - The Call of a Nigerian Graduate

Image
*THE NIGERIA I SEE*  _By Joshua N. Nicholas_  *THE CALL OF A NIGERIAN GRADUATE PT 1* I school, you school; we all school. The journey just begun but though anyway. We left our comfort homes to new horizons for the fear of the future. We lit up the candles as boys and girls for the glorious women and men to emerge. Lecturers played hide and seek with us, university staff controlled our selling point and even navigated us to the tempest when there was a safe shore. Assignments stole our sleep, puzzled with our lifeline and sometimes even shifted the positions of our pockets and pulse. We studied harder to get the grades as new semester approaches, old logarithm fades as we head on for new logistics. At sunrise, morning lecture calls with stomach filled with nothing and sustains the day with streneous non-activities with offices of lecturers becoming home-sweet-home. What of when the sponsor unsponsors and garri becomes a well treated campus salad. Sometimes a lift with the...

*SUCCESS DAILY* *1st September 2018*  _By Joshua N. Nicholas_  *SATURDAY STORY*  *MARTIN LUTHER BIBLE: WHAT HAVE YOU THROWN AWAY* A story is told of a man who loved and read books. He met a friend who had just thrown away a Bible that had been stored in the attic of his ancestral home for generations "I couldn't read it" exclaimed the friend. "Somebody named Guten something had printed it." "Oh was it printed by Gutenberg of Germany?" The book lover asked in amazement. "That Bible from Germany was one of the first books ever printed and a copy just sold for two million dollars." The friend went on to say sarcastically; "mine wouldn't have brought a dollar! Some fellow named Martin Luther had scribbled all over it in German." When the book lover heard it, he shouted: "Show me where you have thrown it. That was the Bible used by the Great Reformer Martin Luther himself. In an aunction, it could go for 5 million dollars...

Iran Sentences 4 Christians to 45 Years in Prison for Believing in Jesus Christc

Image
Iran is the world's leading sponsor of international terrorism. But did you know the Islamic Republic is also the one country where Christianity is growing the fastest in the world? Mike Ansari of "Heart4Iran" spoke with CBN News' George Thomas and Emily Jones about how God is moving powerfully inside this Muslim nation. Iran's hardline government has sentenced four Christians to harsh prison terms for putting their faith in Jesus Christ. Pastor Victor Bet-Tamraz and his wife Shamiram Issavi, who are ethnic Assyrian Christians, and Amin Afshar Naderi and Hadi Asgari, who are Christian converts from Islam, were sentenced to a combined total of 45 years in prison for allegedly conducting "illegal church activities" and spreading propaganda which reportedly "threaten national security." "These Christians were solely arrested for practicing their Christian faith, including attending Christmas gatherings and organizing hou...

White House meetings illegal, church-state watchdog says

Image
WASHINGTON (RNS) — A church-state watchdog is demanding a halt to meetings between the Trump administration and an informal group of evangelical advisers who have proved to be among the president’s staunchest supporters. Americans United for Separation of Church and State said the group is violating the Federal Advisory Committee Act, a 1972 law that provides transparency and procedural standards for committees created to meet with the executive branch. The watchdog called for a stop to the group’s meetings and advising “unless and until” it complies with the law. “It is clear that the President’s Evangelical Advisory Board is doing substantive work with the Trump Administration behind closed doors — without any sunlight for the public to understand how and why decisions are being made,” wrote Americans United Associate Legal Director Alex J. Luchenitser in a Thursday (Aug. 30) letter addressed to White House counsel Don McGahn and other administration officials...

What is your true identity? By David Ibiyeomie

Image
YOUR TRUE IDENTITY Being born of your parents is a natural phenomenon but being born of God is supernatural; that has to do with the spirit. The real you is not the body; the real you is the spirit in you. That is why even after the body dies, the spirit remains alive. God is a Spirit being and He made you in His image – a spirit. {Psalm 82:6} An understanding of who you are is the beginning of triumph in your Christian adventure. Your true identity is who you are in Christ Jesus; not what you do {John 10:34} You must understand that in the hierarchy of the spirit, you are superior to the devil. God has given you the power of attorney to exercise authority over Satan and gain dominion over the affairs of life. {Matthew 16:19} {Matthew 18:18} Being born again is a shift in identity; a change of citizenship. It transforms your entire being and grants you freedom from the law of sin and death –Col. 2:13 Tribe, race, nationality or position does not determine what y...

Don't loose hope By David Ibiyeomie

Image
DON’T LOSE HOPE When God wants to visit you, He makes a dry place (wilderness) to become a fruitful ground. Our God specializes in doing new things. Forget what you have passed through before now; God will do a new thing. He will open up a new chapter in your life now in Jesus name! Isaiah 43: 18-19 -Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. No matter how battered and shattered your life was before now, God said He will do a new thing beginning from now. In the same area where men and women have completely written you off, God will visit you if you believe it in the name of Jesus! Genesis 21:1,7 - And the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as he had spoken. And she said, who would have said unto Abraham, that Sarah should have given children suck? For I have bor...
