*THURSDAY TRUTH*
*YOU DON'T HAVE AN EXCUSE*
Cosmos Maduka, the CEO of Coscharis Group
of Companies, lost his father at the tender age of four. His mother, whose income from her bean cake (akara) business couldn't fund their education needs, raised him and his three siblings. Cosmos
dropped out of school at the age of eight and went to serve his uncle who traded in car spare parts. This exposed him to street life where he took to smoking, alcohol, and pornography, before surrendering totally to the Lordship of Jesus
Christ.
After seven years of labour, his uncle let him go with two hundred naira alone. He teamed up with his brother to start a business, which
collapsed. Soon after unraffled by thus setback, he joined a friend to set up a similar business, which recorded some level of success before the collapse.
When failure struck again, Cosmos decided to take the bull by the horn and in 1982, he started Coscharis Motors.
Cosmos Maduka experienced several challenges in his pursuit of success but he never let anything or anyone ran him down. He was once quoted as saying "I must tell you that there are some of us who have turned our difficulties into dividends and
problems into opportunities." Cosmos overcame a bleak past, poverty, and illiteracy to become a success story. Stop hiding
behind your parents environment and
background. You don't have any reason not to excel. Don't allow circumstances to weigh you down, don't be pulled down by side effects. Focus forward and keep pushing; very soon your success story will be all over
No more excuses!!!
Kill the habit of making excuses.
*QUOTE FOR THE DAY*
People spend too much time finding other people to blame, too much energy finding excuses for not being what they are
capable of being, and not enough energy putting themselves on the line, growing out of the past, and getting on with their lives.
_J. Michael Straczynski_
*TODAY IN HISTORY*
