*INTERVIEW WITH MISS UGONMA QUEEN CHUKWUDUBEM*
*I am Joshua Nicholas a correspondent from the media team of RCF Unizik Awka* .
*We learnt that your birthday is 2days from now.*
*Can we meet you please?*
My name is Chukwudubem Ugonma Queen. First child out of Four Children, from Otulu in Oru-west Local Government in Imo state.
I base in Lagos with my parents, buh I school in Nnamdi Azikiwe University, where am in my fourth year in the faculty of law.
*So Ugonma Queen how has life's journey been so far for you?*
Well full of experiences...Though not very nice, but am glad I have passed through what I have passed through because it has made me a better and stronger woman and now am an instrument in the hands of God to help people going through such.
*Ok. You just made mention of helping people going through such!*
*What are the 'such'?*
Well... I don't think I can mention, but Just hold on to what you have
*Hmmm. Its alright. Sorry if we are some how pushing into your private affair*
*Queen, you mention of you been a law student.*
*Why law?*
I chose law first because I had always been an orator, so I felt law was a very good platform to develop myself... second because it is highly relevant in Nigeria!
*Wow!*
*Coming down to your second point, relevance?*
*Why did you say so?*
*And is there any course that is not relevant?*
That is not what I mean
Relevance finally has to do much more with the individual than what he read, but Law is a course that naturally without proving anything, everybody knows how important this sphere is...
*Ok so to say*
*Noted according to Queen.*
*Apart from studies, what do you have flair for?*
*What is your passion?*
*What can take you outside the courts or if you to work free, what would you like to do?*
I will like to speak for free
Motivational speaking!
I have this flair for speaking especially to encourage others
*Sounds nice!*
*So have you taken any step so far to promote your passion?*
*Have you been given the platform to speak before?*
I don't need to be given a platform... I av started with the people around me
*Ok that's good to know* .
*You motivate people around you. How?*
Words of encouragement and letting them know it's never to late to do anything that you want to do...that's what I can say..
*Ok We are getting there.*
*What motivates and inspire you?*
*What are your hobbies and skill?*
*What can you do with ease for play and it makes sense?*
What motivates me is seeing people who have gone through what I have been through who fought through it and conquered...now they are fulfilling purpose!
Hobbies are chatting, dancing and reading.
*Are you a christian?*
Yes I am a Christian
*We learnt that you are the fin.sec of Rcf unizik awka retaining the position for two tenures now.*
*How have you been able to combine one far end LAW and another Accounting?*
*How has the work been so far for you?*
*Challenges? Lessons?*
It is true I have been the financial secretary two for tenures now...and it is true and obvious that my course of study and my position in RCF do not in anyway relate..That brings me to my very short answer.....'Divine help'
Being the financial secretary has not been easy, I never expected it at first... it involves alot of mental stress, its not something am used to but I have grown to love my office
*What is your perspective towards gender imbalance?* My perspective toward gender imbalance; It is obvious that there is marginalization, but like I always say "A woman with God can never be marginalized"
*As a prospective female barrister how do you intend to debunk feminism ideals in the court?*
*And also convincing your clients that you are good for the job?*
The good thing about law is that both man and woman have equal rights, that's why we are all called "Gentle men"..There is no man nor woman,we are all men..we are called "Gentle men in skirts"
My results will convince my clients..."Talk is cheap"
*What do you love about life?*
What I like about life is that we all have equal opportunity and life is flexible... You can tune your life how you want it for Good or for Evil
*What are your goals for the future?*
Goals for the future
Looking forward to fulfilling God's purpose for my life, that's all
*Are you in a relationship?*
*If yes how do you manage it?*
*If no why?*
Am not in a relationship!
I am not ready for a relationship
*What is your selling point?*
My selling point is my smile
*What advice can you give to other young ladies that want to stand out and make a career??*
My advice is that your future and career can only make sense in God...discover your purpose in God, believe in yourself, suffer where u need to, tarry where u need to to, go through trainings and dealings that is necessary for achieving your purpose and finally, "Give thanks to God always"
*And so we have come to the end of our interaction with Miss Ugonma Queen Chukwudubem.*
*Really it was a nice one I had fun and enjoyed myself with the young barrister. Our learned colleague. Her counsel**
*Thanks for finding the time to talk to us . we do appreciate and from myself and the entire crew of the RCF Unizik media team we wish you the best of life*
