But before the nails and the spear,Jesus was whipped and beaten. *POINTS TO PONDER* The whipping was so severe that it tore the flesh from his body. The beating so horrific that His face was torn and his beard ripped from His face. The crown and thorns cut deeply into his scalp. Most men would not have survived this torture. Yet he still carried His cross kilometers away to the place where he was crucified. Despite all this, He stayed true to his calling, gallant in His mandate and unwavering to the vision. Why? Just to get us saved from sin and death. If I should ask, can you even endure a slap from the military for something you didn't do? For people who even hate you? Will you agrees to be tortured by the armed forces for what you know is not your business? Lord please forgive our short comings and stabilize us in you. Amen!
