What is your true identity? By David Ibiyeomie

Image
YOUR TRUE IDENTITY Being born of your parents is a natural phenomenon but being born of God is supernatural; that has to do with the spirit. The real you is not the body; the real you is the spirit in you. That is why even after the body dies, the spirit remains alive. God is a Spirit being and He made you in His image – a spirit. {Psalm 82:6} An understanding of who you are is the beginning of triumph in your Christian adventure. Your true identity is who you are in Christ Jesus; not what you do {John 10:34} You must understand that in the hierarchy of the spirit, you are superior to the devil. God has given you the power of attorney to exercise authority over Satan and gain dominion over the affairs of life. {Matthew 16:19} {Matthew 18:18} Being born again is a shift in identity; a change of citizenship. It transforms your entire being and grants you freedom from the law of sin and death –Col. 2:13 Tribe, race, nationality or position does not determine what y...

Don't loose hope By David Ibiyeomie

DON’T LOSE HOPE When God wants to visit you, He makes a dry place (wilderness) to become a fruitful ground. Our God specializes in doing new things. Forget what you have passed through before now; God will do a new thing. He will open up a new chapter in your life now in Jesus name! Isaiah 43: 18-19 -Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. No matter how battered and shattered your life was before now, God said He will do a new thing beginning from now. In the same area where men and women have completely written you off, God will visit you if you believe it in the name of Jesus! Genesis 21:1,7 - And the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as he had spoken. And she said, who would have said unto Abraham, that Sarah should have given children suck? For I have bor...

Beijing Churches cries out as religious crack down "Gets worse and worse"

Image
At least 34 unofficial Protestant house churches in Beijing, China, have signed a joined statement sent to Communist Party officials against what they say is an ongoing crackdown against believers, warning that the situation is getting worse. "The normal religious lives of believers have been violated and obstructed, causing serious emotional harm and damage to their sense of patriotism, as well as causing social conflict," read the statement, as translated by Radio Free Asia . They added that when it comes to the arrests of pastors, the disruption of services, and the destruction of churches, "the situation seems to be getting worse and worse." The underground churches insisted that they have the right to freedom of religion as guaranteed by the country's constitution. "The belief that religious believers are some kind of dissenting force, to be managed and rectified, or a target for containment or direct attack, is misguided, and a ...

British Government to help protect Christians in Nigeria

Image
Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby, along with some U.K. politicians, has urged the British government to help protect Christians who are being increasingly persecuted and killed in Nigeria, the Christian Post has reported. Just recently, Nigerian Christian leaders warned that if the current rate of massacres continue, with hundreds of believers being killed each month, “Africa’s most-populous nation is on the brink of decimating its Christian population by 2043.” Justin Welby, as he addressed the House of Lords, also suggested that climate change is exacerbating violence there. Although Christians make up nearly half of the 186 million population, for nearly a decade they’ve been heavily targeted by Islamic extremist groups, such as Boko Haram, and most recently by the semi- nomadic herdsmen. Responding to a question from Member of Parliament of the United Kingdom, Baroness Cox, Welby, according to the Christian Post said, “I am sure the [minister] shares m...

Blood moon set to appear today: Sign of the end time

Image
On Friday, July 27, the full moon will pass through the shadow of the Earth. According to Vox.com , the blood moon will last for 103 minutes, the longest “blood moon” lunar eclipse of the century, lasting 26 minutes longer than the last total lunar eclipse, in January. Although most of the world will be able to see the blood moon, most of North America will not. The eclipse will best be seen the Middle East, southern Asia, Africa, and the Indian Ocean. Space.com reports the moon will remain in the earth's shadow for nearly 4 hours total. The event known as a Blood Moon occurs when the moon moves completely into the deepest part of Earth's shadow, known as the umbra. The moon turns red instead of going black. The red color comes from some of the sunlight going through Earth's atmosphere. The sunlight bends and falls onto the moon's surface. (Earth's air also scatters shorter- wavelength light — think of colors such as blue or green — which ...

The Bible that is least worth $50,000. See the reason why!

Image
A Los Angeles auction firm is taking bids on a microform, or photographically reduced, King James Bible that went to the moon on the 1971 Apollo 14 space flight. Similar in appearance to a piece of microfilm, the microform is certified as containing the entire biblical text. Its print is so small that one needs a microscope to read it. The tiny, space-traveling Bible was one of 11 that left Earth’s atmosphere in the care of landing module commander Edgar Mitchell, who died in 2016 on the eve of the 45th anniversary of that lunar landing. He carried them in a container for personal items. A print Bible would have been too heavy for a space mission, but the lightweight versions posed no obstacle. Minimum bid for the rarity is $50,000, according to the Nate D. Sanders auction firm, which will close bidding at 5 p.m. Pacific time on Thursday (July 26). Apollo 14, carrying astronauts Alan Shepard Jr., Stuart Roosa and Edgar Mitchell, lifts off from the Kennedy Space...

"I want to prove that God exists through science" - 11 Year old

Image
An 11-year-old genius, who on Saturday graduated from St. Petersburg College in Florida – USA just two years after finishing high school, said he wants to become an astrophysicist and prove to the world that God exists. “I want to prove that God does exist through science — so that the world can know,” William Maillis, who received an associate in arts degree said. He argued that atheism and some parts of science rely on faith just as much as religion does. He suggested that it is more likely that a higher power created the universe than a random event. “Science and religion are no different,” William said. “Science is a tool for explaining the world. Science doesn’t disprove God.” His father serves as the presiding priest at Saints Raphael, Nicholas & Irene Hellenic Orthodox Church in Palm Harbor. William began speaking in complete sentences by seven months, learned addition and subtraction by age two, and was declared a genius at age five. He said his gi...

Police chief responds to atheists' criticism of 'God's not dead'

Image
An amazing trend is taking over the internet. All across the United States , police departments are performing and recording hilarious lip syncs. Then, they challenge other departments to do the same. The Norfolk Police Department , the Sherman, Texas Police Department , and the Hollywood, Alabama Police Department have all participated, just to name a few. And their viral videos are so much fun to watch. But when the Crandall, Texas Police Department decided to get involved, their faith-filled lip sync managed to draw heat from a group of atheists known for making trouble! As this fun challenge swept the nation, the citizens of Crandall, Texas urged their local police department to participate. “What an awesome way to create conversations and relationships with the community,” the department wrote on Facebook after posting their own lip sync video. “Have fun in life, keep safe and be humble.” For their video, the Crandall Police Department decided to ho...

Cedar trees used by King Solomon threatened by climate change

Image
Cedars are closely associated to Lebanon, with the tree even serving as the country's national emblem. The relationship between the country and the cedar is even documented in Scripture. The phrase "Cedars of Lebanon" is used quite often in the Bible and the trees were famously used by King Solomon for the purpose of constructing his temple. The cedar of Lebanon is also mentioned in Psalms. One particular passage from Psalm 92: 12-15 reads: "The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, proclaiming, 'The Lord is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him.'" These cedar trees, however, may become harder and harder to find in the future. A report earlier this month from The New York Times cited a 2010 study and Lebanese specialists...

A Makurdi High Court has sentenced the two surviving kidnappers and murderers of Fr John Adeyi to death by hanging. Father Adeyi, the Vicar General of Catholic Diocese of Otukpo and Parish Priest of Catholic Church Okpoga, was in 2016 kidnapped by unknown gunmen. The cleric was later killed and his body dumped in a farm near Otukpa. However, four of the kidnappers were arrested by a team of the Nigerian police led by ACP Abba Kyari few months after. In a verdict on Wednesday, the court found the two surviving suspects guilty and handed them death by hanging. Reacting to the judgment, the family of the late cleric in a statement forwarded to DAILY POST, described the court’s verdict as justice at last. “Today being 25/07/2018, the kidnappers and murderers of Fr John Adeyi have been convicted and sentenced to death by hanging by a High Court in Makurdi. “While applauding the judgement and thanking God and all those who made this come true, we must say that today...
